When I think of inner city addicts I think of homeless men and women of all colors, who are unified by their complete lack of hope, complete dependence on drugs and the base quality of their lives. Barrios would only really apply to slums of Hispanics- so the word is not a synonym for inner city, hence your aka is not apt.

As for your CBOE addicts- my guess is not too many of them were nurturing children. Type A males (now this is just my opinion) don't seem drawn to child rearing. I don't know a single female middle class addict of anything- not even alcohol. I haven't even heard any anecdotal stories of any around here. But any addicts, whose addiction leads them to put their own drug needs above the needs of their child, should have their children removed from them- I don't care what color they are or what income level.
