Dr. Dave, I've got a couple questions for you, too. In your first post on this thread, you said you work with an "..entire Radiology Department that has not only investigated COII, they have invested and there is no doubt use the machine". Now you indicate they found out about the whole concept for the first time from you. Seems unlikely from this perspective and others (i.e., it's only located at a few research sites) that your radiology folks use COII equipment. In your first post, you also said that you feel good about the trials currently underway because "if it is apparent the modality doesn't work the study is stopped". I do not believe that is accurate. I believe studies are only stopped if they show untoward side effects which put the study population in danger, or if they show efficacy with a smaller number of patients than expected. A properly designed study cannot show "the modality doesn't work" until the full number of patients is enrolled - if the null hypothesis could have been proven with a smaller number of patients, the study would have used that number! Sorry to seem paranoid here; I just have learned to become very cautious about folks who show up here and start posting on a thread immediately after joining SI, especially if they use an alias and provide no traceable info about themselves. Everyone has to start somewhere, so you may be entirely genuine and the above issues just misunderstandings on my part, and if so, my sincere apologies. But the modus operandi is very similar to that used by hypesters, and I think it's important for the integrity of the thread (and therefore the validity of our investment decisions) to point out what appear to be inconsistencies. Can you clear these up for me? Thanks! Bob
