Dale; There is also something else we can't chart and the market don't see. ( hidden cash ) Black market cash, and I don't just mean drug money. I've had some experience with it in third world countries , and there is no way to say just how much is getting stashed at this time. As things go belly up in ASIA it's no accident. There are all kinds of crooks and when scams hit their peaks they filter off cash to stash & produce phony bills , and they don't worry about making interest, they just want to have the cash were it can't be found. I'll bet Grand Cayman is jumping right now with new accounts. Most of the reason I could get up to double the exchange rate in third world countries ( if I had hard dollars ) was so that they could fly that money to some secret account. The level of corruption going on would stagger the imagination of most Americans. Believe me a lot of Asia money went into Dollars and those Dollars went into hiding..and they may not come out of hiding any time soon. Also most Japanese don't trust their banks any more and have cash stuffed into safety account boxes and under the mattress it's a mess. I have no idea of how to calculate it. ( I do know there is a huge black market in American Dollars, and that's one reason the Dollar is so high ) Jim
