Just found this on the PSFT thread...Interesting in light of the message I just left for Michelle on the sebl thread. Wasn't there something recently on one of these threads that either SAP or ORCL had changed their plans and had decided not to develop this software. Maybe because of an acquisition??

>>Can anyone comment on this rumor from R. Cringley in Infoworld?:

"The note said that SAP and Oracle are in a bidding war for Vantive. It seems that the relationship Vantive used to have with PeopleSoft has cooled due to cultural clashes. Now there's a surprise: It must be hard to have a long-term agreement with a company that ex-insiders say is less like the Brady Bunch environment that CEO Dave Duffield describes, and more like the Stepford Wives."

Does anyone know what's up with Vantive and PS?
