I'm excited to hear Steven stressing the ESD aspect of the Wave system. I really think this is important in terms of creating some sort of brand recognition for the company. It helps us to stand out from all the other e-commerce companies and systems out there which are always being confused with Wave's direct competition. Now, if there were only a way to make it clear that the "software" in ESD also included DVD, satellite broadcasts, etc.

Just a minute ago I was searching for something on the web so I went down to the bottom of this page to MetaCrawler and was pleased to see not only the GSN listing on the front page, but also a banner ad that came up with the listings for my search results. I can't say that I loved the ad, however -- it didn't really give me the urge to click on over. The listing on the front page could also be stronger, I think. If you don't already know what GSN is, you're not all that likely to check it out.

For what it's worth (good, bad or indifferent), we're being discussed a little over on the Roger's Short Picks thread: Subject 18700.

Finally this:
Number of messages on this thread in its first 25 months: 1032
Number of messages in the first 5 months of this year: 1290

Things are moving.

Gateway seems to be trying very hard to draw attention to its presentation in New York at 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday. Last Thursday, and again today, the company released "news of coming news." Most recently:

go2net.newsalert.com

I know I'm not the first to say it. I just can't resist guessing that Waitt wants to ride the Wave.
