i believe this quarter could be a disater for amat. why? well last quarter they did 50%revenue in the last month and what i believe and heard that the were just sticking products down peoples throat and as morgan said scrambling to get orders. also, you can tell this because if business was strong and momentum was behind the 50%revenues in the last month then eps would have been increased rather than sharply decreased. also, their was reaaly no cancellations last quarter but since amat stuck product in the cycle then i believe you will see some major cancellation this quarter. i would not be shocked if they recieved 100-200 million and cancelled orders. obviosly , that would destroy numbers. As the saying goes sell semi's in the winter and buy them back in the end of the summer. i would be nervous holding semi going into their weakest quarter historical with amat trading at the high end of price to sales range in downcycles. i still think you will see wall street analysts panic anddowngrade amat before its all said in done.
