Looks like this Visual Studio partnership could bring a lot to ODIS:

microsoft.com

Excerpt from Microsoft's Visual Studio success stories:

"We had built the core commerce engine that we use with our clients on UNIX, but wanted to move to NT. The tight relationship between Microsoft and Object Design and the technical integration of two such robust technologies as Visual Studio and ObjectStore provide a reliable and productive working environment that delivered a much faster time to market. In addition, ObjectStore's enterprise capabilities allow us to handle thousands of simultaneous users with no degradation of performance."

BTW, I hope Goldman will ''whisper'' some positive Q2 numbers today... Do you know when the annual meeting starts (morning or afternoon)?

Damien,

Here's an answer to your ''favorite question'' #1 --about ODIS's European prospects that is:

Andromedia Moves into European Market

[May 27, 1998] San Francisco-based Andromedia Inc. said it has formed Andromedia Europe Ltd., a wholly owned subsidiary that will market and sell ARIA, the company's real-time Web site activity analysis software, throughout Europe.

"We've received tremendous demand for ARIA from major European corporations in the media, high technology, finance, telecommunications, and automotive industries all needing to better understand how effective their Web sites are for marketing products and services and, ultimately, generating increased revenues," said Kent Godfrey, Andromedia president and CEO. "In response to the growth of the Internet in Europe and to the growing need for solutions like ARIA for high-end web site analysis, we are pleased to launch our new subsidiary directly serving the European marketplace."

Andromedia said it has named a veteran European sales professional as managing director of Andromedia Europe, but oddly enough, the person wasn't named. The new managing director will work to establish partnerships and distribution channel relationships for ARIA in key European markets, the company said.

ARIA will be available through Andromedia and its European Internet software partners such as MATRAnet S.A., a French Internet software company and a division of Lagardere, one of France's largest corporations.

ARIA determines and measures the effectiveness of Web marketing spending, including the placement of advertisements, e-commerce, content, and advertising sales.

In addition, Andromedia provides a real-time personalization engine technology that is presently being integrated with other applications to enable the delivery of more accurate content and personalization recommendations.

That's all folks!
Needless to remind you which ODBMS ARIA relies upon?

Gustave.

PS: what an horrible bloodbath yesterday! Any feedback from the annual meeting?
