To all: Yesterday I was at my son's for the holiday and he has a QCP-820 phone. He received a call from a friend who has an identical phone and uses the same service which is Ameritech . He told me that if they both talk at the same time which frequently occurs in telephone conversations they both wash each other out and nothing can be understood. It's a must that before one of them responds they must be sure the other has finished talking. Does this problem occur on all QCOM phones and does this problem occur in GSM and TDMA products too. The Ameritech system is a analog/digital system so maybe that's the problem ? Any views ?

The article below states Koreans will develop their own Microchips by year end and not buy from QCOM. If they don't use QCOM's chips are revenues still paid at a lower rate ?
