Joe: terrific little piece in thestreet.com today about European internet buildout. Estimates are as high as $200Billion-that's right, billion-in traffic by '00. Major problem is phone rate structure. Cable, other methods may win out over WWW approach. If phone companies reduce their prices enough to make it feasible for average European to surf inexpensively, COMS will be in excellent position (alliances with AOL). Of course, so will ASND (alliances with WorldCom, LU & AT&T)
