Dave, I've also thought about making either fan adaptive to the stock price conditions, but as I said earlier, the multiple price waves often give signals that either fan is valid. Hence, the dilemma.

As for the less-used method of tracking relative strength, I'm not entirely certain we're on the same page, but the way I'm looking at it, I don't look at absolute values, but instead look at the relative position of one over the other. I plotted a moving average to the relationship of one to the other, and when the two lines cross, it hits my scans as a potential rocket in the waiting. Very interesting stuff.
