Automated Daytrading - - I would like to get my hands on this!

exchange2000.com

After trading as a hobby for 10+ years, I am transitioning towards full
time Nasdaq daytrading for a living. I have been in 'intensive study'
mode for the last 8 months setting up my system to daytrade (out of an
office).

I began by integrating satellite datafeed from PC Quote into a realtime
expert system. Using the expert system, I am able to scan the level II
and time/sales data all 3000+ Nasdaq stocks based on any parameters
or market action that I can define. This has proven to be very beneficial,
since it was very difficult for me to find a 'perfect' entry point manually,
watching only a few stocks at a time.

Finally, I have just recently incorporated realtime automated order
placement and trade management to enter trades much more quickly
than I ever could by hand. (Using Castle Securities for my trading). I
believe automated order entry and execution offers a tremendous
advantage because it saves me ~4-10 seconds of time that I otherwise
would have spent setting up and verifying an order. I have
programmed into the software my rules to choose between a SOES
order, SOES with price-following, SNET preference and ISLD orders
based on the current data. The proper order is instantly evaluated,
placed and hopefully executed.

In addition to my "real" account, I have set up several dozen
papertrading accounts to test other trading ideas. This is very useful,
even though I can only test market orders and the results have to
assume that the order would have been filled.

Anyway, after several recent weeks of testing the integrity of my order
placement and execution system with fake stocks (tickers TEST and
TESTA), ==> I started the system for my first live automated trade this
past week in MSFT (it made + 3/8).

I hope this post has stimulated some thoughts and ideas for the benefit of
all. Although, I am far from the developing the "perfect" system, I think I
am almost complete in developing my "perfect" trading platform for fast
automated trading. The power of satellites, computers and Internet
trading!!! LOL!

I would be interested in the thoughts/ideas other serious traders.
Comments?? Or if you are a serious trader who wants to exchange
information privately, please send me a private message or e-mail.

Good Luck!
