What Dr. Gordon says is not what I'm hearing from an informal survey of 10 cardiologists practicing in my city. They all say that Lipitor is better than the rest, and have cited me to other studies/anecdotal experience. In my own particular case, I was on Pravachol, and was switched to Lipitor, with marked improvement in my cholesterol profile, and a more favorable lowering of my liver enzymes to boot. My wife had a similar experience.

I think Lipitor is, or will be , the drug of choice for hypercholesterolnemia.
