More publicity for the DOJ from the WSJ:

New story from the WSJIE (top story). Snippets:

"Federal officials are considering adding to their suit a charge, already contained in the state suit, of unfair pricing by Microsoft of its profitable Office software package, which includes the market-leading Word, Excel and PowerPoint programs. They could ask the court to force changes in the way Microsoft sets prices for computer makers that license Office for installation on new personal computers, people close to the case say."

"Microsoft's efforts to thwart Sun Microsystems Inc.'s Java software language are also under review and could become a larger issue in the lawsuit, people close to the case said. In the suit filed last week, the government alleges Microsoft tried to undermine Java, which it viewed as a potential competitor to Windows."
