And Amzn.com has brand name for book etailing and much more, i mean you can sell
anything under that name. And that's why you have the traditionals running scared to
play catch up in my wiew.

If I were to shell out a bunch of money for a product other than books, Amazon would be the last I would trust. I would feel far more comfortable buying the same product through the local Barnes and Noble store. I know they will not declare bankruptcy on me. I know how tofind them. I can sue them in my local county if that ever came to pass.

Mark, the farther they venture from published media, the more they dilute the "brand". Music and movies are not far removed from books in the minds of consumers, but what else do you see them selling? Electronics? Clothing? Food? Real estate? What?

Should Home Depot start selling sheets and towels? After all, more people know the Home Depot brand, and associate it with low prices and good service, than know Bed Bath & Beyond.
