This is the only thing they released.

IFM - Montreal
MONTREAL (Dow Jones)--MPACT Immedia Corp. (T.IFM) said it is in talks with
another industry participant "with respect to a proposal for a significant
transaction."
In a press release, the company said it made the statement at the request of
the Toronto Stock Exchange and the Montreal Exchange. No further information
was disclosed.
MPACT Immedia provides electronic commerce products and services.

Denis, I would doubt CGI since the telcos (including many international ones) seem to be in with OpenMarket's E-commerce product - these include Manitoba Telecom's Ngage, Bell Emergis' recent announcement also refers. Also, if interested in this area, CGI could have bought them for much, much less money as it has been clear for a while that MPACT had a bright future in this area. But we should be hearing soon.

On the other hand, MPACT wouldn't be the first Montreal company to be bought out by Microsoft :-) :-)

I'm hoping for the scenario suggested by White Shoes' as I'd like to see MPACT grow as a company on its own, with bigger and bigger partners as we go along.
