here is the way I am looking at the current situation. If oil were 19 dollars per barrell, how many of the stocks that we all follow would be at or near their current price levels?? I venture to say NONE of them!! The next question is can OPEC afford to allow oil to remain at the current levels al summer long?? I venture to say NO!! Therefore, just as 1+1=2, so does opecs need for higher prices+the current seasonal time of year= higher prices in the future. Maybe this month, maybe next month, maybe not till August...but our day will come in this sector and when it does it will come fast and furious!!

Ron-
You may want to look at weekly stochastics in addition to your daily. My read on the weeklies is still bearish. Wish I'd have been watching it a month ago.

Anyone buying on dips? -bought MDCO & TBDI this a.m.

Seems awfully bearish out there... After all the comments on MDCO this past week I had to step to the pump ! In reviewing all the fundamentals - looked too good to pass up; anything sub - $20 seems to be a superior value. Forward looking PE based on 1999 earnings estimates = PE of 7 +/- ! Lots of room for downward revisions and still a solid value.

I was looking to add to a current position in PKD, but based on PE/value and forward growth - TBDI @ PE of 8.5 and with todays announced 76% increase in revenues & 194% increase in income it just looked to be the superior value in land drillers with very good growth going forward.

Anyone following BTJ - Bolt Technology; small/micro cap offshore seismic service company? Has 26% margins, 38% return on assets & 45% return on equity.Geophysical/seismic area seems to be less price sensitive to crude than other areas. PE of 12 with rapid growth and strong fundamentals; seems only lacking in analyst coverage/discovery ? Lots of room for VTS-like growth, PE expansion and appreciation... comments anyone?

RGinPG, are you still in VRC? VRC had a few interesting trades today:
50k @ 24 25/16 1:37
33.8k @ 24 5/8 12:40
25k @ 24 3/4 1:06
10k @ 24 1/2 12:06

All top volume trades were near today's low. RSI confirms oversold condition on your charts. I hope VRC will stop free fall and bounce, othervise we are going to retest March and January lows.

Any suggestions?
Regards,
Slava Chechik
