Rory, I agree, it sure looked like a lot of buys going through today.

When the MM's do a shake, it all boils down to a higher profit for the MM's. If they can scare people by starting to drop the price and get people to sell shares at a lower price, they make more of a profit.

This morning I noticed the same thing happening on several stocks. But the MM's seemed to be lowering the bid price more than the ask price. That gives them a bigger profit when they sell shares to you.
