Maybe I didn't state what you objected to clearly. I was just expressing my opinion that it was not logical to me that the fathers of our country would have wanted bands of armed citizens marching around threatening the constitution and our elected government (which seems to be the aim of the militia movement). It seems much more likely to me that these armed militias might hopefully repel a challenge from abroad to our new republic. I think it is a mistake NOT to take history into account, and I for one do not believe a world view from the late 1700's should be made into the rule of law forever. We face a very different world, with different challenges and realities. Is that any better?
