This morning after seeing another day's ISLI slow down slide, I spoke with a research analyst whose knowledge of both the technology industry and ISLI are very strong.

The basic paraphrased take is:

1) Almost all software technology stocks are NOT currently doing well in the market, and

2) Investors are an emotionally finicky lot and they pick and choose those that for some reason they determine are HOT ... ISLI is not currently one of them (i.e. - (a) Manugistics -- got HOT then COLD real quickly and (b) Borland/Inprise - has transformed itself into a new middleware/Java enterprise powerhouse and hasn't started its run up), and

3) ISLI because of past (2+ yrs ago) dissappoinments is just not getting the RESPECT it deserves now that a lot of VERY POSITIVE changes have occurred.

4) ISLI is in the right/growing businesses NOW (PVCS, ASQ, Y2K, Data Direct, etc.) and should meet or surpass expectations.

5) As ISLI keeps reporting GREAT quarterly #s, respect WILL come and the stock price will RISE ... just a matter of timing.
