I haave always had high expectations for IDTI. But, i am now convinced that management is sorely lacking in the execution department.

The winchip on paper is a great product. It addresses three key factors that are becoming more important in the computer industry. Price per performance, small size, and low power usage.
The problem is, and management won't confirm this if true, is that I don't think IDT was prepared to make this sucker at all, especially in their oregon fab.

Henry's time line for the C6+ and future chips sounds great, but the company can't even get the c6 produced to fulfill the demand (and remember, no one outside IDT's management knows just how much this chip is in demand--it may not be as great as IDT let's on).

We all know that IBM may be a godsend to idt in getting winchips produced like loaves of break. That is what IDT can only hope for and I hope the agreement works out that both companies can make a sh+tload of money of the winchip.

As for IDT producing the chip, that's anyone's guess. It is becoming obvious that they are having problems in making the chips. How bad it is is anyone's guess. There seems to be two sides of the story---Everything is find and everything is terrible but nothing in between.

But, if it's true that they are unable to find skilled workers to man the machines to make these chips, it will just be another great idea turn rotten at the offices of IDT. In other words, I see the time frame for the winchip's acceptance fading quickly, especially if IDT can't show that it can produce the chips in reasonable numbers.

This company is in desparate need for some luck cuz god knows the last three years have been a dry spell in the luck department for this company.
