Earlie. I have been catching up on my reading about the small PC graphics players. These guys are keeling over fast and the analysts are dropping from Strong Buy ratings to Holds overnight. First it was Nine (NINE), then Accel (ACCL), then Diamond (DIMD) again, then STB Systems (STBI) and now it's 3Dlabs' (TDDDF) turn:

Creative Technology (CREAF) has got to be next since I bought a 24x CDROM at COMPUSA FOR $10 (after rebate) this past weekend. I'm still waiting for that $10 Western Digital hard drive!

Good thing I listened to you and MB and avoided any and all PC component players.

I heard from some snickering PC service reps that CPQ's component reliability has really gone south during the past 3 to 4 months. However, I won't bet against CPQ with puts since I think the clueless Wallstreeters still believe it can challenge Dell. My view is that CPQ's stock price (along with the DEC anchor) will be the next demonic stock that will move in the opposite direction of reality.

Stay tuned for Diamond Multimedia's $50 million annual inventory writedown and $50 million annual restructuring charge, and of course, you won't want to miss their subsequent profitable quarters. <G>
