ErgoBilt president/CEO resigns

DALLAS, May 26 (Reuters) - ErgoBilt Inc. said Tuesday Gerard Smith has resigned as president and
chief executive officer, but will remain a director and consultant to the company.

The company said in a statement C. Charles Bahr III has been named acting CEO. Bahr is chairman
of Bahr International Inc., a turnaround consulting firm that has been hired to assist the company,
ErgoBilt said.

ErgoBilt said earlier this month it would consider selling one or more of its operating units. The
company also said it expected to report a loss of more than $2 million for its fiscal year ended Feb. 28,
1998.

ErgoBilt makes ergonomic products.
