This sounds like the Singapore VCD Market. Exciting to see it reach 1M units, much bigger than the DVD player market. It is predicted that this year the internal demand will amount to 1.1-1.2 million units, up 20 percent over last year which is slightly less than that of last year. The current popularity rate of VCD in the country's middle and big cities is about 10 percent, a far cry from that of color TV, which reaches 90 percent. But as a recreational article, VCD 's popularity will not become so intense as expected.
