<<Anybody ever heard of Kent >> I looked at them sometime in the past. They are a sub-supplier to several semiequipment co's, I think for power sources or something similar. Anybody recommending this stock who doesn't follow the semi equipment sector is singing "a capella" (or "a rectumis" maybe).

Thomas:

KNT is a l/t favorite. However 2 important things:

(1) I remember reading somewhere that the insider buying (a lot in Dec) was financed through company loans.

(2) it functions as a canary to the semi-equips or at least it used to. so unless you see some pickup in AMAT orders forget about a pickup in KNT. the diversifcation helps but they are still a big semi-equip supplier.

Having said that mgt. is exceptional. This was one of those 50+% stocks in under a quarter for me last year. It is a quality company. But I would not buy now. 20 is decent but I doubt the stock is going to run away from you anytime soon. If the semi-equips go lower it will likely go lower. Also has the PC connection and all those implications. Have not kept upto date in last 3 quarters so take all with a grain of salt.

Shane.
