We recently had a friendly conversation about volunteer community service. I think it's wonderful for other people but I would rather volunteer to sit at the mayor's desk for a month and change everything that needs to be changed.

I would run for mayor myself, but when has anyone with common sense ever won an election?

Au contraire! Jim once stepped on a spade in the garden, and as the spade handle sprung up and hit him squarely in the eye, he called that spade something quite different.
