I don't believe the Bush and Reagan waivers in question were opposed by RWR's or GWB's own State dept. and DOJ as in this case as well as a number of other advisors. Also, I don't believe there was a criminal investigation going on which was likely to be compromised by such a waiver as DOJ asserted. Also, as I understand it the encryption technology was not at risk on those waivers. Moreover, I am unaware of ANY allegations that money from the Chinese military went into RNC, RWR or GWB's campaign coffers. Accepting money from foreign government's is illegal and even you should be able to guess why that is a law.

These are serious allegations which should be looked into. This is different from criminalizing policy decisions such as Iran Contra or "borking" nominees for federal offices, favorite tricks of the Democratically controlled Congress for many years prior to the Repub takeover. Compromising national security and succumbing to foreign influence peddling are very serious threats to our system of gov't. and way of life. If there is credible evidence or circumstances to warrant an investigation there should be one (even Clinton agrees).

I know, I know these aren't facts right, just assertions. No one is in jail, etc. etc., etc. Blah, blah, blah. I'm sure you disagree. Guess I'm psychic. JLA
