Agreed again. This stock cannot go to the moon on 4 drill holes demonstrating probably less than 100 meters in length with the POG in the dumps. Secondly there will not be more holes in the near term so what is there to speculate on? I have been hearing the rumours about the majors as well but like all other times except for Arequipa, it will probably amount to nothing. I remember not long ago Bob Bishop discussing must be owned projects and companies like Franscisco Gold or Farallon for example. These would be much better purchases for a major than SJD who's project is in politically unstable Ghana. Whatever fuels the market I guess. Currently I have no position in the stock and will probably wait for it to base for a while before making a long or short decision.
Off Topic: My guess for the next mining company to be bought out will be Platexco PGMI on the CDN (soon to be TSE listed). PGE play who's S. African property is intersected by the famous Merensky and UG2 reefs and drilling thus far has yielded typical reef grades. This is pure spec. at the moment but I would not be surprised to see FN or EN interested in the company. Anglo is the other obvious choice

The only stock that I am short right now is Mutapa, MUA. They released the first drill hole results a couple of days ago and I thought it was nothing at all to be excited about. 5 meters of 2.3% copper followed ( with a few meter interruption) by 2% zinc over 2 meters at a depth of approx 350 meters does not seem exciting to me. You seem to be a knowledgeable mine guy. Have you seen the release? Any thoughts? As well this stock was being pumped to hell by the Insider Report so it ran in anticipation of results. My biggest fear is that there are only appox 3 million shares trading but judging by market action, they do not seem to be tightly held at all and I would not be surprised to find out at a later date that dumping was going on with all the volume. Worth a look although short profits appear to be narrowing.

Bill, might be a tad early to short SJD. They're doing the NYC dog and pony show this week. We might see some more buying on the stock. It looks about due for some correction tho, as the run-up has been hot and heavy.
