I think for the most part MSFT has been above reproach. Small lapses here and there, which wouldn't raise any eyebrows at all if MSFT were smaller co., but in hindsight make MSFT look to be a relentless bully. Look at for instance one of the more obvious items, which was simple to understand, and MSFT didn't deny doing: The ISP exclusive deals, which as I understand worked as follows: MSFT supplies the ISP with all the free browser CDs that the ISP can eat. But the ISP only eats MS from then on, as long as the contract term is good for. At other companies, this is commonplace, even applauded. Look at the deals the internet search engines get in: Netscape itself just got paid $70 million to list Excite on the NSCP Netcenter "portal". It's no coincidence that a couple days later Netscape and Yahoo parted company. So now Netscape is going to be the chief promotor for Excite, and I would bet there is some kind of language in there restricting Netscape from elevating any other search engine to Excite's status on the NetCenter. But hey, this is all really cool for these two-bit internet sites. But MSFT.....why how dare they even think about exclusive contracts. My God!! What beasts! DK

Mr. Rubel, You are so far out on a limb at this point that you have lost any shred of credibility as an impartial party considering both sides. Honestly, what's your angle? Are you short MSFT? Thanks, Mike BTW, I think that Microsoft makes about $40 on low volume OEM sales, less with more volume I believe.
