Politically, I doubt the Adminstration will be cleared. It just looks bad that Schwartz is a major contributor and got the waiver, no matter how much thought went into the decision from a policy standpoint. But he got the waivers from Bush and Reagan too. And Hughes got waivers from Bush, Reagan and Clinton too. Did anyone and hughes donate money to any of those campaigns? If there were calls for a broad investigation into Hughes and the waivers from Reagan and Bush then this would seem serious. As it is, it seems like a smokebomb. Dragonfly
