JJB,

My understanding is SanDisk produces the CF cards and Kodak puts the gold and red logo on. They refer to the CF card as the Kodak Digital Science film or something like that. I downloaded a review of the various forms of flash memory available and this is what is stated in the article...

"Amid the profusion of choices, Kodak--which launched it first digital camera, the DC 50, with a full-size PCMCIA flash card in the pre-CompactFlash days--has stuck with SanDisk. "We will evaluate other card types, but there has to be significant reasons for us to change," said Clay A. Dunsmore, a senior product engineer at Kodak Japan."

I do not recall where I found the article. Perhaps on the SanDisk website.

I think sales for SanDisk would pick up if they considered using the Kodak logo/emblem or some other type of recognizable brand name. See my prior posts regarding marketing. We have touched on that area several times here already.
