I heard of that rumor too, but I don't see why ORCL would merge with CPQ. Maybe they want to enter the Operating System market?

MSFT SQL Server is limited on NT only. Before it can really hurt ORCL, NT has to replace much of the UNIX, in another words, it has to kill Solaris, HP-UX, AIX,.... Even if that happens, ORCL may not lose its share on NT. Oracle is the No. 1 on NT right now.

Oracle Applications NCA will be a great success. None of the competitors has a matching product.
