As a contrarian, I would agree that when everyone becomes so pessimistic, it is close to a bottom and time to get money to work...i just don't think we are even close yet. ...ugly? today was nothing! 150 points on a 9000 index...pocket change....imagine if we have a correct of the same percentages as 1987...lets say just 10%...how wouldyou feel seeig the dow down 900? if you couldnt stomach it you should be in it...yet its that very aching, that painful call from client xyz who sells, 'just sell it at the market, i just don't care anymore' that tells you you getting close to a bottom. We're not near a bottom. -Steve
