Bernie: RE: Theory on price decline. Bernie, during the last few weeks the cellular and sat industries have received a substantial amount of good publicity. This hasn't helped Nextel. In addition, Motorola has released good news, but the stock hasn't responded. Obviously Motorola has a problem with earnings and Asia. In addition, as of late, their has been a general absence of any good news to the investment community, as a whole. Why? Because the CEO's of public companies are gun shy. They are afraid of saying anything positive, and are quick to point out the negative. This is because they fear class action suits. If you notice, when a company suffers a class action suit, they usually come in numbers from several legal firms, take away from any good news, stymie further growth, scare away future shareholders etc. Thus, we now have an absence of good news. Nextel doesn't have this problem yet, however, they don't want it either. Nextel management doesn't speculate with good news, and their isn't any bad news. Thus, Nextel becomes a boring stock, shares held by investors that feel like they are part of a family. (this explains the low volume lately) So, if you want excitement, and publicity, try the following. Take the motorhome on the Hutchinson River Pky, stop in the center lane, climb on top, pull out your bull horn, and give a Fred Smart sermon on "Nextel". If the crowd boos, and you hear sirens, pull down your pants and MOON all the other drivers that are backed up honking and swearing. Then, calmly climb down the latter and drive off. Just another New York day.<VBG> Oh yea, get someone to take pictures for the family album and title the picture "What grandpa Bernie does on a boring day" Hey, for real excitement, get your twin brother Arnie to come along.<VBG> Regards from Al G., in cold and not very sunny So.
