<<Earlie, Michael Dell on the cover of the Fortune magazine.
Abby J Cohen on the cover of the Business Week magazine. >>
Do not neglect the unhappy-looking GAtes on the cover of US NEws. He cashed in only a couple of billions as yet, got to hurry with the rest ...

MMV:
While I think Dell's stock price is in the troposphere, I don't think it will become my kind of short (mortally wounded) until the price wars start to actually show up on his earnings statements, I have to hand it to the guy for showing the industry that you can actually get the public to send a cheque to a distant address to buy a commodity product, and then wait a week, even when you can walk down to your local shop and get the same thing for about the same price (or less). I never thought it would work, but so far it does. ( Cost me money to learn that it does) (g)
Also have to give him credit for sorting out the B.T.O. process much more rapidly than did his competitors and for running his operation on his suppliers' inventory carry costs.
That said, Dell can't ignore the migration of the majority of PC sales to the under $1,000 price point. He is not there yet, and will be coming in late. Dell's time will come, but not yet.

Abbey, ah dear Abbey. You had to love her recommendation of MU this Spring (a one-time-only thing, it seems). I wonder if she knows that Mu's chips don't get placed into cookies. (g)

How do we get her to walk down a main street of any city or town and drop into a computer shop? (g)

I love your point with respect to cover story/stock decline relationships. Now let's see, .....Andy, Ekhert, Larry, Bill,...the list is starting to go our way.
Best, Earlie
