CNBC Market Watch (Thanks to Tralornik, who posted this at post #7907 of Yahoo PFE thread) May 26 1998 5:03PM EDT CNBC 5:00 (market watch, Tuesday)is talking about Viagra and PFE, speaking to a drug stock analyst. Overall the analyst said the stock is probably going to be hurt for the short term but expects a major upturn in the 3rd qtr (whether in Rx's or Stock price, I am not sure). He reiterated that the deaths do not seem to be of any consequence since most doctors prescribing in the first weeks were more apt to make mistakes, since the drug was new. They touched on other countries making the pill (where no patentlaws are) and that could affect the sales of Viagra in the future. All and all, pretty much consistant with everyone else, short-term bumpy but near-long term should see higher stock price. At least that was my feeling from watching it.
