remember I'm in the MSH and you're in the SPX..they do deviate somewhat, though not much on a day like today. My thinking was that sure the dippers got hammered good this morning; I'm sure many are still in shock; but that was a pretty good rally, though quick. I think of this AM's dippers as cannon fodder.. but there's more $ out there looking for a home. Possibly foreign money (read Asian).

I noticed today that the computer hardware sector was trying very hard to rally, even at midday. And actually INTC ended the day up, though off it's high.

The MSH was at 595 only eight trading days ago. Closed today at 548, an 8% drop from then to now. Dang. I was looking hard at the 595 and 600 puts then, but thought they were too expensive. All that plotting, and then I chickened out when the time came. -g-

one other thing - check the volume of the Naz, DJIA, and NYSE today. Below average. This ain't Oct 26th, IMO. The volume reminds that there's no over-riding trigger to fixate on. Rather it was a technical sell-off.

Of course, this is all just with the info we have as of today's close. Tomorrow I think the volumes will pick up a bit.
