The preferred is still an excellent choice, and even if you buy at 3:59pm on the 29th you may still get the dividend. All I know is that I'm dealing in uncharted territory for me (with dividends that is). I got my stockpile of MIDLP last Monday. I suspect it is too late for the dividend, but I can neither confirm nor deny that. If I had a full service broker, I would go with whatever he/she says and if they are wrong they will have to make good and pay you the dividend. Don't rely on E-Tarde or a discount broker, they may not make you right. Warrants are a good choice too. Kurt
