Time Traveler, Maxwell was being very conservative. Buy the K6-2-300 for $189 including heatsink and fan, the VA-503+ Super-7 motherboard for $99. According to Quake guru post above, this system, with ONE 3D accelerator outperforms his finely tuned Pentium II-333 system with two 3D accelerators.
