You are lucky that is all they dropped. I show Globex S&Ps dropped as low as 1086 last night, now 1089.70 The market should open lower today and rally for as long as perhaps an hour, 90 minutes. But there appears to be a lot less support than upside resistance. DY and anything else were primarily penalized by broad weakness, to my way of thinking.

Andrew: DY made a nice run before earnings (10%) so it was no surprise to me that there was profit taking especially in this market. Besides, DY has a history of acting in this manner when it posts good earnings. But if you really want a value play in this sector, look at ALNK. It came up short on earnings due to the weather and some other temporary issues. It got hammered. It shows excellent value at these levels IMHO.

Andrew, MASK's purchase of the ETEC equipment appears to indicate that MASK will be attempting to move into the high end of the photo mask business in order to get a piece of the growing DUV photo mask business. Is this a good assumption? MASK is valued very cheaply in comparison to PLAB and DPMI. So the pertinent question (long term) would seem to be whether or not MASK can compete with PLAB and DPMI. Do you have any opinions on this? Thanks for any inputs you may have. Mike
