AV-

Newbie on your thread. Classy bunch here. Got a stock for the group. First see URL below.

Message 4617096

Now, if anyone is interested in knowing more, please read through 2 people's input on the thread (Janybird and Skipard). I'll summarize briefly below and you can take it for what it's worth--just another SI member's perspective.

CCSI thread is full of hate and love-it's a war of longs vs. shorts. Don't get too caught up with the heated exchanges. It's been a battle for about a year now. Shorts interest has reached outrageous levels. They're betting that the company's product--FDA approved noninvasive device for detecting bilirubin in infants--would be a flop. The company is a start-up medical device company with technology in "colors". Medical device is actually just one aspect of it, but it is the biggest aspect right now. Recent road show in New Orleans in early May was a smashing success. The big obstacle and the principle behind the big bet is that there is a large distribution deal in the wing. Longs bet that the distribution deal will instantaneously make this a profitable company. Shorts are betting that the deal may not go through or that the deal is a small one.

My own perspective--I am long and have been for about 8 months. I trade it occasionally, but I have a core position that is very very long. So, please be aware that my opinion is biased.

First off, I like their product. I am in the field of caring for infants and children so I speak from a professional perspective. That was the primary reason I got into the stock. Since that time, I have learned about the shorts and have met others who own a whole bunch of this stock. The numbers just don't add up. When the shorts have to cover (and I believe that they will have to do just that very soon), the ride is going to be a rocketshot. You guys are welcome to do as you please, obviously. I just bring this to you for your perusal.

If you'd like more info, please read the thread and I'm happy to answer to the best of my knowledge.

mike

Hi AV,

SGI is near or @ it's 52 week low, what do you think of this company?
That is to say, as a long term stock purchase (2- 4 month). Thanks!
