Thread:
I think most people who are fighting Wintel assume that the another American company or several American companies will acquire the business. With the programing going on in India, the chip making in Asia and the Asian governments willing to buy into any business opportunity the business will probably go elsewhere. Hello unemployment, budget deficits, stock market declines, economical disaster.

M31,

Free to do what? Illegally leverage its OS monopoly to eliminate competition?

Yes. Free to leverage its OS, apps, or any other product it owns in any way it so chooses. You call this illegal. Perhaps it is under current "laws". Microsoft must fight not only the charges brought against it, but, more importantly, the irrational "laws" being applied. Failure to do so vigorously will create negative consequences extending far beyond just Microsofts future, IMO.
