An investment term I live by ... Average Mean Share Cost = The total amount of money investmented divided by the total amount of shares acquired.

example: $1,000.00 and you buy 1,000 share then you have an Average Mean Share Cost (AMSC) of $1.00

I created that term from doing cost analysis findamentals in construction as a way figure the total burden to calculate the Gross Margin and profit of a job.
