I heard a rumor several months ago prior to the runup from $28 that IBM was looking to digest Gateway. Never could verify it, but it will be interesting if that was indeed a good rumor. I bought Gateway for other reasons so I'm holding on for a bit longer.

Link didn't work. I had meetings all day. Missed the excitement altogether.
Nightly Business News had very favorable coverage of Dell and their new hook up to the internet. Buyer gets to select browser. You would think they had invented browser selection. What a big deal! I had browser selection when I bought this Compaq two years ago. Think we might get some air time for that? <g> Also said their Asian sales are up.
