The dance scene wasn't really Hollywood- because he lost, remember- he stepped on his partners dress. The last scene was him dancing with that girl he was attracted to, at her farewell party (it was the last dance so she was to pick her partner for it). Unlike an American movie- where he probably would have abandoned his family and run off with the young girl- he only has one dance with her. And the scene of him dancing on the patio with his wife was lovely. Perhaps you need to see it again.
