Asia Pacific PC Shipment Seen Up 5 Pct In '98-IDC
Wednesday May 27 10:04 AM EDT

SINGAPORE (Reuters) - Research firm International Data Corporation said today it expected
personal computer shipments in Asia Pacific, excluding Japan, to rise five percent in 1998.

"Looking forward, IDC is forecasting five percent unit shipment growth in 1998 when compared
to the previous year," it said in a statement.

In 1997, PC shipments rose 16.5 percent in the region, IDC said.

It said concerns for the rest of the year included slowing expansion in China, economic
sanctions placed on India and lingering social unrest in Indonesia which would prolong the
turnaround in other Asian markets.

Dane Anderson, IDC's PC research manager told Reuters he expected a pickup in the region in
the second half

<<< I did not like what I saw on the SEC fillings>>>

Would you please explain? heavy insider selling?

Personally I think Steve Jobs will like the stock go lower because he will get a lower strike price on couple million shares option.

AAPL mgmt created a lot of positive atmosphere in the past couple months because they needed shareholders approval for those proposals.

I expect AAPL have a wild ride in the next 12 months. Big drop in short term --> Jobs get the option at much lower price --> some positive news drive up the price dramatically and he sells option at much higher price. There is nothing wrong with Steve Jobs for doing that. I don't have any opinion against him. Hey, everyone's goal is making money, right? Why are you in the stock market?

Good luck!
