Suretrade charges a flat $7.95 commission. the service sucks sometimes, but you can't beat the price. I also use DLJ Direct, whose commission is a little pricier at $20, but their service is top notch.

NDB..Onlin limit orders $19.75 flat for pennies. 1cent per share over 5K shares for listed stocks only.

If you're buying listed stocks over 5000shares, Scottsdale is $7 flat, but Scottsdale is expensive for pennies.
