A resort hotel "down the shore" with no A/C, etc? Sounds like a Season in Hell.

Could be the Warren @ Spring Lake. Spring Lake is an old Irish Riviera where most of the summer help comes over from Ireland. Used to be quite a spot and still is for it's charm. Drop a match, however, and the town burns to the ground.

Also could be a mob-associated place called Palomino, I think. Name is similar to Calomine, that's why I thought of it.

But the best guess would be someplace in Cape May.

Anyway, I am not a beach person. I have the George Carlin disease of Irish skin. Tan for 10 minutes the first day, 15 the second, get drunk and fall asleep the third and burn-and-peel for a week.

I just try to neutralize the blue. My M.O. is to spin 180 degrees in the stool at the bar near the window every so often so I tan evenly as the day moves on.
