Betty,

This is US system called "soft money". We do not call it as a bribe because it is perfectly legal (passed by all law abiding senators and congressmen of US). Vote it down if you will. That will solve the problem. Before the new law, it is as legal as you can think of.

There is nothing wrong for Mr. Schwartz to donate money to who ever he please within the legal limit. Does Mr. Speaker of the House's book deal was perfactly squeek clean? Do you think the owner of the company did not ask anything in return if this deal went through? Did you know how much money Dr. Herny Kissinger's consulting firm make from the Chinese after he left the office? Do you know he is considered the best friend of the Chinese?

You and I are no political insiders and do not want to be in that business. But there are still plenty of people went that route by saying I want to be elected to serve our country and get rid of government waste. Hey these people are a part of the governemnt.

Let all of us work in private industry to creat jobs. Do you think the idea is right? By the way. I am a Republican voted for Mr. Clinton the last time. And proud of it. "Check and Balance" is the game.
