Big buys 'cuz there are huge sells. Bad numbers, price drop.

Midway Games board OKs share repurchase

CHICAGO, May 27 (Reuters) - Midway Games Inc. said Wednesday its board of directors authorized the repurchase of up to one million shares of its common stock over the next year.

The purchases may be made from time to time in the open market. The timing and number of purchases will depend on market conditions, the company said.

Midway, which provides interactive game software, has 38.5 million shares of common stock outstanding.

Shares of Midway were up 1/4 at 13-3/4.

Andrew, I was not impressed with their EPS at all. But more
significant going forward is the fracas at Ion Storm. Look
at Harry's link #914. No one has really focused on this yet
because it just happened. But there could be game delays
because of it, according to the report. The report comes
at a time when EIDSY is trying to shed its one game company
image. It's not good. I don't plan to buy any EIDSY until the
Ion Storm clouds clear.

cheers,
Bleeker
