Your Warrants are not "out of the stream" until you exercise.

Since I'm holding the warrants, they're out of the stream anyway.

Unless you have the certificates for the W. they are held in street name, therefore your broker can loan them out to be shorted against.
When you exercise your warrants, turn them into common, THEN they are "out of the stream", permanently removed from the float.
